The Apostle Paul turns his attention away from trying to prove the authenticity of his apostleship to the Corinthian baby believers. He tries to convey the truth of his authentic love for them, and his great desire that they would be reconciled to himself, the other apostles and the true gospel of grace, so that they could live in and through their authentic identity in Christ and stop behaving like unbelievers.

Through this message, Pastor Fred seeks to convey the truth that Paul's thorn in the flesh was not a discipline or punishment from God but rather the result of Satan's attempt through persecution from people to hinder the gospel. 

The word “Unforced” speaks of something that feels natural or effortless. It is made from the prefix “un,” which means “not,” and the word “force” which refers to pressure. Pressure is what one experiences when they feel obligated. Therefore, the word unforced means not pressurized or without obligation, no exertion necessary. The definition of this word perfectly captures the kind of relationship God desires with every single one of His children. He desires a relationship that is exempt from pressure, exertion, and obligation.  He desires an unforced relationship.

In the first half of 2nd Corinthians, Chapter 6, the Apostle Paul is continuing to defend himself, the other apostles, and their grace ministries, as being truly authentic and approved of, by God, but not in a way their natural thinking would expect. The Apostle Paul is going to show the power of the authentic gospel through how he and the other apostles dealt with hardship. 

Jesus' impeccable reputation of grace does not permit sin and death entrance into the storehouse of salvation. Believers are eternally secure in their gift of salvation. As much as His eye is on the sparrow, the eye of the Lord is on those who worship Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love.

Through this teaching, we see how the Apostle Paul explained the spiritual realities that "reconciliation with God" brings to believers in Jesus, and what believers are empowered to be and to do because they have chosen to become reconciled to God.

The Father's grace provides us with complete forgiveness, thorough righteousness, and incomparable riches. The same God of grace has a purposeful plan for each of our lives. His plans may not move at the speed of light; nevertheless, they are in motion. However, there are times when His plans do move at the speed of light. Just ask the woman who had the issue of blood. She had spent twelve years attempting to find relief from anemia, fatigue, fragility, dizziness, and a weakened immune system. Like sand through an hourglass, so were the days of her life. But when she touched Jesus, the light of the world, faster than 186,282 miles per second, did God’s creative abilities, infinite resources, and vast wisdom pour forth. 

Was God applying the principles of triage to the multitude of sick people who thronged Jesus? No, He can work on everyone at the same time; His resources do not need rationing. However, Jesus was especially moved by the woman’s faith; therefore, the grace that surpasses comprehension poured forth. Likewise, Ruth's grace manifested through her faith in Israel's God.   

The Apostle Paul defends his motivations for his life, ministry, and message to the Corinthian baby believers; many of which, were being swayed away from the "too good to be true" message of the gospel of grace.

God's predestined plans, particularly as they relate to salvation, are designed to include human response and cooperation. While God has a sovereign plan, He invites individuals to participate in it through faith and choice.

Faith, honor, and agape love were both the Apostle Paul's personal and ministerial motivations. Everything the Apostle Paul did, was birthed from his relationship with, in, and through Christ, even in the midst of severe persecution, hardship, and continual threats of death.

The kingdom of God is righteousness in the Holy Spirit. We can walk in the Holy Spirit every day, and this is in contrast to walking in our own self-righteousness.

Hard times are inevitable. A lifetime without heartache is inescapable, but famine of the soul is optional.    

New Covenant. New Epoch. Jesus Christ is alive. He has no end, and we who believe in Christ Jesus are alive in Him because of His finished work on the cross.

Through this message, I acknowledge the reality and the overwhelming presence of emotional struggles and the pressures of life. Struggles and pressures are real. They are a part of the human experience. Life can be hard, but in Christ, we overcome; we are more than conquerors. I also want us to see that believers are never alone in their struggles and pressure-packed moments of life. In these vignettes of time, God best demonstrates His providential care and orchestrates His purposeful plan in our lives. The Father has graciously given us the Holy Spirit; He is the counselor of comfort and peace. He is the One who brings rest to our weary souls.   

In this message, Pastor Valeri explains why the Apostle Paul continued to preach the gospel while constantly being under the effects of severe persecution and the constant threat of death. His primary reason was his faith in God's promises of eternal life and eternal rewards.

When one receives Jesus, they receive the kingdom. This teaching emphasizes the power and importance of receiving and holding onto the word, no matter the circumstances.

 

 

The apostle Paul greatly and correctly valued the gospel of: grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ alone. His estimation of the gospel helped him to rightly estimate the weight of his own afflictions, hindrances, and obstacles.

The economy of divine grace is more than a mansion over the hilltop. The economy of divine grace contains everything we need for life and godliness. Divine grace is the ministry and the minister of the New Covenant whereby the pardon of sin and eternal salvation is appointed to sinners in consideration of the merits of Christ, laid hold of by faith.

Jesus’ willingness to endure rejection was part of His redemptive mission to bring salvation to all who would believe. His beauty was an inner beauty; the same beauty that we are adorned with when we receive the light of life.

Self-control, the last fruit named in the list of the fruit of the Spirit, increases in measure that is always in direct proportion to the revelation of God’s love. If I possess an anemic viewpoint of God’s love for me, then I will also maintain an anemic self-control. If I perceive God’s kindness as shallow, my self-control will also be shallow. If my belief in the Father is that He is intermittently faithful, then my self-control will also be intermittently faithful. If I make the Christian life about self-improvement, self-control, or self-righteousness, I will have fallen from grace into a works-based relationship, and like the Pharisees and teachers of the law, I will fail most miserably.

The Father desires for His children to know His voice. His voice is the voice of gentleness. His opinion of us is beyond the reach and influence of the law. He wants to anchor our souls in the One Man, the One Shepherd, the One gospel, and the One voice, Jesus Christ.

The Father’s faithfulness is rooted in His steadfast love for His children. The word faithfulness has three syllables. Faith-ful-ness. If you were to remove any of these syllables, you'd still end up with some words, but none more powerful than when they're knitted together. Faithfulness is more meaningful than faithful, and faithful is more meaningful than faith. ~ You see, a person can possess faith and not use it, but they cannot be faithful without the use of faith.

Believers themselves are not broken; only the way they have believed. My hope is that this message will encourage you to trade away opinion for justified belief.

A person can be kind and not love, but a person cannot love and not be kind. We can trust that God is always going to be kind to us. WHY? Because we deserve it? Not at all. Because God is love, and love is always kind. True kindness flows from the nature of God’s love. Kindness is what He is and kindness is what He does.

Love was the sole motivation for the Father to give us the Gift of Jesus.

Patience truly is a virtue, and a fruit of the Spirit that should be embraced rather than eschewed.

This message explores the relationship between vine and branches. A healthy vine will send nourishment to its branches, and healthy branches will bear healthy fruit. So, if Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches, then what hinders many believers from expressing the fruit of the Spirit? Through this message, the shade is lifted and the primary enemy of peace is revealed. It may be very different than you think.

The thieves of a believer’s joy are not the cares of this world. The thieves of joy are much more sinister. The thieves that rob believers of their joy are: condemnation, conditions, comparison, and commandments. Through the message, I want us to see that these menacing thieves lose their strength in the presence of new covenant truth. Through a correct understanding of the Gospel, these thieves will never pickpocket your soul again.
